I inexplicably feel the crazy need to travel again, specifically to Seattle.

Things I’m craving right now:

  • Quiet time on the pier with Ben, staring at the Sound while munching on bulgogi and boba tea
  • Amazing locavore food and true cassostrea gigas - West Coast oysters - on the half shell; Matt’s in the Market
  • The smell of the rain
  • Raw cheese and honey
  • The joy of feeling like you’re completely out of your element.
benglert:

Midori wishes she could have eaten everything at Matt’s in the Market. Sadly, she had to make do with three appetizers, two entrees and a dessert. Here, Fish Point oysters with kimchee salt, charcuterie plate with Dijon mustard, sriracha aioli, and Japanese karashi mustard; and cheese plate.
And yes, Midori wrote this post so that it’d say more than “OMNOMNOM.”

Oldie but a goodie - If in Seattle, one must stop at Matt’s in the Market. Fantastic stuff :)

That last rant was much too long and much too wordy. Let’s focus on some pictures of food. Mmm food.

Dungeness Crab, Ahi Poke, Shrimp Cocktail, and Oyster Shooters. Seafood Station at Pike’s Place Market. Seattle, WA.

Ben and I had a wonderful mid-morning snack of fresh, raw tuna from here - Soooo good!
