Barely There, and Boston Bound

I like this kid’s way of words. It makes [no] sense in a Ginsberg or Sarkin way

And sometimes, it’s better to let someone else say it for you.

thewilliambeckett:

Barely there, and Boston bound
You’re not where I need you
I don’t care who else is around
To witness this loneliness
So I’ll paste this plastic smile in it’s proper place,
and shoot a few across the room
In secret, hoping this disguise that encases me cracks,
exposing fractions of my true face
And while the bright light fights through the space it creates
I squint and struggle to adjust my eyes to it
And in that moment I see a shape start to fill the frame
Dark and undistinguished, I try my best to sharpen focus
I hope to life to find you there,
My fabled love, the fate of fear
The fear of fate, the face of faith
I told myself I’d never pray, never ask a single thing
Wasted words, a stammer curse,
I’d give anything to hear that voice of yours say my name
Barely there, and Boston bound
You’re not where I need you
I don’t care who else is around
To witness this loneliness
Deep breaths and exhaustion sets,
While I stutter through
Another afternoon
Without you.
